Five dishes that are sure to impress

We’ve picked what we think are our most impressive dishes for a date. Now all you have to do is cook one.

If you’re looking for cooking inspiration this weekend, look no further. We’ve hand selected what we think are the most impressive date dishes in our arsenal. We really couldn’t have made it any easier for you, so take your pick, cook it up, and thank us later.

There’s something about cooking a whole fish that’s particularly satisfying. It’s impressive from a culinary perspective, but also on primal level. It’s probably the closest you’ll ever feel like a hunter/gatherer in an urban dwelling. Pair it with fried zucchini and seasoned green beans and you have the perfect balance of land and sea.

It’s hard to find someone who doesn’t like a good risotto, and even harder to find someone who can make one, so naturally our Mushroom Risotto is impressive. Crack a bottle of wine, pour a cup for the rice and a glass for yourself (and your date) and let the rest take care of itself. It doesn’t get any better than that.

Fun fact: add herbed butter to practically anything and it makes it better. If that just so happens to be a ribeye steak with frites and snap peas, you may just be the most impressive man in the world. Add a glass of red wine and we can guarantee that the butter won’t be the only thing melting.

We know what you’re thinking, and we agree, pork chops typically aren’t that impressive. Well thankfully this isn’t your typical pork chop. Stuffed with blue cheese and mint, topped with seared pear, this recipe makes Miley Cyrus look basic. Ok, maybe it’s not that crazy, but it’s not something you or your date will soon forget.

We couldn’t round out our top impressive dishes for dates without mentioning our latest Spinach Feta Stuffed Chicken with Pan Fried Shiitake Mushrooms and Zucchini Rounds. With the spinach and feta stuffed chicken breast on a bed of shiitake mushrooms and zucchini, it’s the perfect balance of decadence and deliciousness. Give it a try and you (or your date) won’t be disappointed.
